*Modern Vaudeville
Vaudeville was a variety show form of entertainment most popular during the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. The more music-centered and more sophisticated version of variety shows became known as a “Revue” in the early 1900‘s. Eventually, variety shows in general began to die out with the rise of film cinema and full band concerts.
Because of The Silent Still releasing media from stories and film, to music, poetry, masquerade balls, and concerts, and more, they have been said to revive the spirit of Vaudeville and Revues, and brought them into the modern world.
